JustSwapping is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. We collect as little data as possible — only what is necessary to process your swap.

1. What information we collect

When you use JustSwapping to create a swap, we store the following information:

• The coins you are swapping (e.g. LTC → XMR) and the amount
• Your receiving wallet address — where your swapped coins are sent
• Your refund wallet address — optional, used only if a swap fails
• Your email address — optional, used to send you a swap receipt, and shared with ChangeNOW only if you do not provide a refund address (see section 4)
• The deposit address assigned to your swap by the exchange provider
• The exchange provider used (ChangeNOW or Godex) and the transaction reference
• The exchange rate and GBP/USD values at the time of your swap
• The status and timestamp of your swap

We do not collect your name, date of birth, passport details, or any other personal identifying information.

2. Browser storage

JustSwapping uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to temporarily remember your swap details — such as the amount, coin selections, and active swap reference — so that the page can restore your swap progress if you refresh or return to it. This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers beyond what is needed to process your swap.

3. Why we collect this information

The information listed above is collected solely to process your swap and provide you with the service you have requested. Specifically:

• Wallet addresses are required to send and receive funds
• Your email address, if provided, is used to send your swap receipt, and so that ChangeNOW can contact you about a refund if you did not provide a refund address
• Exchange rate data is stored for our own records and to calculate any applicable affiliate commission
• Swap status information is stored to track the lifecycle of your transaction

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond processing your swap.

4. How your data is shared

If you use ChangeNOW and provide an email address but no refund address, your email address is also shared with ChangeNOW so they can contact you to return your funds if the swap fails. If you provide a refund address, your email address is not shared with any provider.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

Swap records are retained indefinitely for our own records and to assist with any disputes or support queries. If you would like your swap data removed, please contact us with your swap reference number and we will delete it where we are legally able to do so.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold. Swap data is stored in a secured database on our server. We do not store any payment card information or bank account details — all transactions are conducted in cryptocurrency directly between wallets.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request that inaccurate data is corrected
• Request that your data is deleted, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it

8. Cookies

JustSwapping does not use cookies. We use browser local storage as described in Section 2, which operates differently from cookies and does not track you across other websites.

9. Third-party services

Exchange rates displayed on JustSwapping are fetched from CoinGecko's public API. CoinGecko may log your IP address as part of standard web server logging when this request is made from your browser. Please refer to CoinGecko's own privacy policy for details.
